The Fused 5 - Who is the Best James Bond Ever?
Best James Bond Ever?
We had so many disagreements with this category that we decided to split it into Kevin’s favorite vs. Adam’s favorite Bonds and let the readers decide whose faves are better. The List will read from Best to Worst.
Kevin’s favorite:
- Daniel Craig
- George Lazenby
- Sean Connery
- Pierce Brosnan
- Roger Moore
- Timothy Dalton
So Daniel Craig was # 1 because it is my belief that he is the closest to how Bond should act. I was a fan of the books and Craig’s, violent and almost sadistic/masochistic, darker Bond was closer to Fleming’s character than any other, if only he had dark hair, more people would agree but he does have a little Connery style to him too. Lazenby was higher than Connery due to his portrayal in the most depressing and hardest to play Bond stories ever, not to mention, he had a good look to him. I know Connery is the original and the definitive “best” but to me he is also the most commercial choice, so that’s why I dug deeper and put him in third.
Adam’s favorite:
- Sean Connery
- Pierce Brosnan
- David Niven (non-official)
- Roger Moore
- George Lazenby
- Daniel Craig
- Timothy Dalton
I think if you looked at most people’s lists of Bond they would mirror Adam’s but in his defense, Connery is great and had the best stories to play Bond in. Brosnan certainly had the look, right down to a T, and brought perhaps the most sex appeal of any Bond since Connery and maybe even more. Moore was perfect for the time and Lazenby just had it hard but poor Dalton, he was just filling time for Pierce to get finished as Remington Steele.
