Welcome back to our Friday feature, Fused Film’s Friday Classics. This week I really wanted to plug on one the best cult classic films of all-time, The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai Across the 8th Dimension.
There is a reason this is a cult classic. The cast alone is an all star list of future sci-fi heroes and villains. Anytime you fuse rock-n-roll, particle physics and aliens you know you are going to have a good time.
I have always said that I like movies about teams. Where the leader surrounds himself with the best there is. Buckaroo has a devoted group of men experts in their respective areas that would give their lives for him and vice versa. I want to be a Blue Blazer Irregular Buckaroo’s private army of friends.
The plot can be a little hard to follow at times but I promise you will have a good time if you remember this movie was made in the 80’s and also if you listen carefully there are a lot of jokes to be had. The thing that makes this movie a classic is its cult following, many movies and TV shows have referred back to this film which means its loved by some the biggest writers and directors in Hollywood.
