X-men Origins:Wolverine - Big Names, Big Characters, but is it Big enough?
So this week there has been much to do about the new Wolverine spin-off movie. I can’t say that this film really hits me I mean in the sense that Last Stand put such a bad taste in my mouth.
Film’s Premise - Set seventeen years before X-Men, the film will focus on Wolverine’s violent past, and his early encounters with William Stryker. The Weapon X program and his interactions with other mutants will be explored, including his complex relationship with Sabretooth/Victor Creed.
Wolverine is set to hit theaters next summer and as already brought in some big names or big characters. (More News and thoughts After the Jump)

Let me tell you the problems I already see with this movie so far. First off, it is making the same mistakes that Last Stand in the fact they are putting mutants in this movie for mutant sake. What should happen is they should have Stryker and Sabertooth, a love interest and that is it. Keep it simple.
Secondly, where does Gambit fit in. The answer to this is probably nowhere but they just want to throw him in there so they can give him his own X-Men Origins movie.
I have kow problem with them making this movie but I am simply worried they will have too much going on. Also the film kind of reminds me of Daredevil right now. Do not ask me why but it just does. Big name actors or big name characters thrown into a stretched plot simply to make 157 million in opening week box office receipts.
I say make it simple and keep it dark with lots of Wolverine and Sabretooth action mixed with the shadow stuff that Stryker gives off. Do not relive the mistakes Ratner made with X-men-Last Stand by creatng everything to busy I mean even the mutant cameos were to much. How worthless was Angel in the last movie?
Anyway we will have to wait and see. I like the casting choices though except I think Liev Schreiber should be Stryker not Sabertooth and they should have gotten Tyler Mane back to be Sabretooth.
